Summary

McMaster University was founded in 1887 by the merger of the Toronto Baptist College and Woodstock College, and is located in Hamilton, a city of 693,000 residents 60 kilometres west of Toronto. It is a comprehensive, research-intensive institution offering a broad range of undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs. In 2006–2007, McMaster University had an estimated enrolment of 22,903 full-time equivalents.
