Summary
NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd., an Alberta-based transmission system consisting of 23,720 kilometres of mainlines and laterals, collects and transports natural gas for use in the province and for delivery to connecting systems through TransCanada PipeLines Limited (TCPL) at the Alberta border for export (about 84% of throughput) to eastern Canada and to the United States. Effective July 1998, NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. became a wholly owned subsidiary of TCPL.
