Summary

Established in 1979, the Nova Scotia Municipal Finance Corporation acts a Crown Corporation to provide low-cost capital financing to municipalities, municipal enterprises, school boards and health authorities. Debt issued by NSMFC, defined as notes, bonds, debentures or other securities, may be guaranteed by the Province with the approval of the Governor in Council.
