Apache Corporation is one of the largest independent oil and gas companies in North America. Its 2.4 billion barrels of oil equivalent of proved reserves at year-end 2006 are geographically diversified both onshore and offshore across the United States (43% of proved reserves), Canada (24%), Egypt (12%), Australia (9%), the North Sea (8%) and other international operations (5%).
