Alliance Pipeline Limited Partnership, 50/50 owned by Enbridge Income Fund and Fort Chicago Energy Partners L.P., is an integrated high-pressure (up to 1,740 pounds per square inch (psi) versus the usual 1,000 psi to 1,100 psi) natural gas pipeline from northeastern British Columbia and northwestern Alberta to several delivery points near Chicago. It extends for 975 miles in Canada and 900 miles in the United States, with laterals providing access to 44 gas plants. Capacity can be raised to 2.0 billion cubic feet per day with additional compression.
