(EEP) indirectly owns the U.S. portion of the world’s longest liquid petroleum pipeline and is active in natural gas gathering, treating, processing and wholesale marketing (see Business Segments). EEP is effectively owned 73% by public investors and 27% by its General Partner, Enbridge Energy Company, Inc. (GP), an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Calgary-based Enbridge Inc.
