Veresen Inc. owns (1) a pipeline transportation business (71% of EBITDA in H1 2011), principally 50% of Alliance, operating in western Canada and the United States; (2) a natural gas liquids extraction business, primarily a 42.7% interest of Aux Sable near Chicago (20%); and (3) power assets (9%) in both renewable and gas-fired generation in North America.
