Founded in 1969 and located in the heart of Montréal, UQAM is a member of the Université du Québec network, which comprises nine separately incorporated institutions. UQAM offers most undergraduate and graduate programs, except engineering and medicine, and is Québec’s third-largest university with full-time equivalent enrolment of over 29,000 in 2010-2011.
