Residential Capital, LLC (ResCap) is a diversified real estate finance company with a business concentration in residential mortgage banking. Established as a separate entity within GMAC, LLC in August 2004, ResCap is the holding company of two primary operating subsidiaries: GMAC Residential Holding Corp. (GMAC-Residential) and GMAC-RFC Holding Corp. (RFC). ResCap is wholly owned by GMAC Mortgage Group. Inc., which in turn is owned by GMAC, LLC.
