Aberdeen Asset Management PLC (Aberdeen) is an independent, international investment management group, managing assets for both institutional and retail clients from offices around the world. Based in the U.K. and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), Aberdeen was formed by a management buyout in 1983 and has been listed on the London Stock Exchange since 1991. At the end of February 2011, Aberdeen had GBP 176.2 billion assets under management.
