DBRS Rates AT&T Inc.’s $3.0 Billion Notes Issue “A”, Stable Trend

DBRS has today assigned a rating of “A” with a Stable trend to AT&T Inc.’s (the Company) recently announced $3.0 billion aggregate notes issue.

The issue was done in three tranches and includes: (1) a $750 million 4.95% notes issue that matures January 15, 2013 – an add-on to its existing $1.75 billion 2013 notes issuance; (2) a $1.0 billion 5.6% notes issue that matures May 15, 2018; and (3) a $1.25 billion 6.4% notes issue that matures May 15, 2038.

DBRS expects the Company to use the proceeds from this issue for general corporate purposes, including spectrum purchased at the recent 700MHz wireless spectrum auction.
